I have wanted for some time now to do a shoot showcasing some of Hudson's different wedding vendors and one of my favorite locations. Kinda on the spur of the moment I was able to pull together a group of us to do a location shoot at Lake Forest CC. Stefanie from the club was very helpful and generous for allowing us to use the location. They have one of the most amazing gardens too. Hopefully we will return to do another shoot when it is in bloom. Also participating was All Brides Beautiful supplying a few models and some incredible gowns and bridesmaid dresses. All Brides Beautiful is a great boutique shop here in town with some of the coolest window displays. It is always exciting to see what they have to show. Lucia's the Salon offered hair, makeup and additional models. Sally and the girls did a great job giving us some different looks. Greg from the The Greenhouse did a great job with the floral as usual. Greg is my neighbor here at the studio, his shop is amazing. Also helping out on the photography was my good friend Tom Forrest. Thank you again to all the vendors that pulled this together. If you are a bride looking for any of these services please feel free to visit any and all of us.
Christmas Card Time
I am starting to take reservations for scheduling your holiday family photos. You may choose to come into the studio for your session or we can go on location. In-studio session will be $100 and location shoots will be $125, both come with a $25 print credit. I have a few incredible locations picked out this year. There are some great card design choices that come in flat or folded styles. Custom card prices start at $2 each and are available in packs of 24. Call soon for your reservation.
First up is Thomas and her son Carmen, I shot Carmen's wedding a while back. Thomas was such an good little guy. Also some shots of my old friends daughter, Tessa. She was so easy going, showing me her pony and the rest of the farm. Lastly I caught a shot of two of Rachel's horses in front of the church.
So now with about a week to go before the official opening most things are in place. The furniture is in and the canvas wraps on up. A few tweaks, internet hookup and things will be ready to go!
progress on the studio
So work on the studio is coming along.
The desk and some of the furniture are in, with more coming soon. Today and tomorrow I am expecting several gallery wraps to arrive. I have a 3.5 ft x 5 ft going into the window just in time for Taste of Hudson this weekend. Also the meeting area is almost set. A few more sample albums, some stuff for the shooting area and we should be set to go.
Jenelle is going to work on making the dressing room and bathroom very nice. Lastly I plan to get some of my non wedding non portrait work in the gallery area. I am thinking of some recent images from mexico.
Please feel free to drop by and if I happen to be in I'd love to give you a preview tour. Pictures coming soon.
Coming Soon "the studio"
In October I will be opening a studio location at First and Main in Hudson. I will continue to serve my wedding clients and expand my portrait services. Please check in from time to time for updates and specials.
Last weekend I had a couple different shoots. I enjoyed photographing some kids portraits as well as documenting a wonderful couples 50th anniversary. Congratulations to Lenore and Emmett.
Over the last few days I have had some killer shoots with stylists again. These are definitely some of my favorite assignments outside of weddings. I have been using the video light more and loving the results!! I plan on bringing more of this lighting technique into my e-sessions and the creative sessions of my weddings.
I will have more salon shoots coming up in the following weeks so keep checking back!
BTW - you're not seeing double- Halley and Alexis are twins!
