grooms are people too

So it is getting really close to what may be one of the most exciting weddings I will shoot. Chrissy and Onur will be getting married in May locally. Then in early June I will be traveling to Cesme, Turkey to shoot a second ceremony. Aside from the incredible opportunity to capture their wedding, I am also very excited to explore Istanbul. While in Istanbul I will be staying in the middle of everything, just steps away from the Blue Mosque, The Spice Market and Hagia Sophia. In early June be sure to watch the blog, I hope to make some posts while I am there.

Today I got together with a group of other local photographers for a little relaxation before the season kicks in. We also had a few willing models to shoot. It was cool to meet many new faces and see some of the regulars too. As a bonus to this get together we got a tour of the Simply Canvas facility. If you are a professional photographer be sure to check out the great products they provide. I really enjoyed getting a behind the scenes look.

I will be shooting their wedding in a few short weeks. With the great weather this weekend we were able to squeeze in their e-session. Can't wait until the wedding day.

Wow what a great spring day for this mornings shoot. Now I'm off to shoot an e-session for a wedding coming up in a few weeks. Those will be up by tomorrow.

Another destination wedding of sorts, my first 08 Ohio wedding was about an hour away and the reception was at Atwood Lake Resort. We had a beautiful weekend of weather too. Congratulations!

So what do you do for an e-session when the weather is bad? Shoot at the IX Amusement Park! Last night I spent a few hours getting to know Devon and Dan a little better while getting tossed around on a roller coaster, riding the carousel and spinning around faster than needed. We had a great time and ducked outside at the end of the shoot to catch a beautiful sunset.
