Last night I enjoyed a wonderful evening e-session with Christy and Mauricio down on East 4th in Cleveland. Christy works and lives in the area so it was really laid back and casual. We briefly got rained out and headed back to their apartment for a bit. I think I got some of my favorite shots there. After the rain it was back out on the street. I will be shooting their wedding in mid October, I can't wait.
Well summer is over and it's back to school for the kids. I can't believe how fast it went.
In a short seven weeks I will get to shoot Hannah and Michael's wedding. Today we headed out for their e-session. I was trilled that they were up for a little off the trial hike to get a good angle on the waterfall.
There was so much to enjoy about their wedding I don't even know where to start.
Let me first explain the BrianDonald thing. Prior to the week of the wedding I understood Angela would be marrying "Brian". Well Anglea is not too fond of the name so "Brian" is now Donald, which is his middle name. I didn't know what to call him so she said just say BrianDonald.
On Wednesday I got a call from Angela to talk about the time line for the wedding. During the conversation she said something like "did I tell you my hair is *#%+'ing orange?" WOW! That's not good! Long story short I got her hooked up with my friends at Simply Swank. Tatum and Jackie (whose head shots you've seen on the blog) hooked her up with an amazing color correction job and ended up doing her wedding day hair. She was also able to have Sarah do her makeup... fabulous job by all as usual.
So all was good and we were off to the wedding. The church, St. John Cantius in Tremont is beautiful and now a favorite of mine. The weather was so nice and the light on the steps of the church was so perfect that we took the formals outside... love to do that! During their e-session we scouted a few "off the path" locations for the wedding day creative session. Lolly the Trolly took us around town and then to the reception at Artefino in Cleveland. The previous post, 1900 Superior is a pano shot from the tower which we got special access to.
Oh yeah, bonus coolness.. the couple chose to see each other prior to the ceremony for a special first glance. Also check out Angela's uber cool head piece. And on my suggestion Angela had her shoes dyed, I really dig the color.
I had a great time! Congrats again guys! Thanks to my second shooter Johanna for all her help.
With an off weekend I again shot with my friend Tom Forrest. The couple and their friends had some real talent in the group. From a song written and performed for the bride and groom to the bride singing A cappella with friends to finally the groom playing drums in his own band the all really rocked.
WOW a week without blogging and I felt like I lost my dog. Last week I took off while attending my 20 year class reunion. GO 88! Headed down to Columbus yesterday for Melissa and Jimmy's wedding. This was my first Macedonian wedding, and I gotta say it was fun. I really love the exposure to other cultures and traditions.
